New USCIS Fee Increase Released by Biden Administration

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) this week published a final rule in the Federal Register that officially implements an increase for several immigration filing fees starting in April 2024.

The fee increase announced by USCIS affects most forms.

The agency justifies the higher fees to “more fully recover its operating costs, restore and maintain timely processing of cases, and prevent the accumulation of future case backlogs,” according to a public statement.
