{"id":37264,"date":"2024-04-24T00:14:32","date_gmt":"2024-04-24T00:14:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/montanomiranda.com\/?p=37264"},"modified":"2024-05-02T02:42:41","modified_gmt":"2024-05-02T02:42:41","slug":"se-alcanza-la-cantidad-maxima-reglamentaria-de-visas-h-2b-adicionales-para-trabajadores-que-retornan-para-la-segunda-mitad-del-ano-fiscal-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/montanomiranda.com\/en\/se-alcanza-la-cantidad-maxima-reglamentaria-de-visas-h-2b-adicionales-para-trabajadores-que-retornan-para-la-segunda-mitad-del-ano-fiscal-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"The maximum regulatory number of H-2b Visas is reached"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"margin-bottom: 16px;\">The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services has received enough requests to reach the limit of 19,000 additional H-2B visas available for returning workers, according to a report published on the UCIS website.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 16px;\">These visas are corresponding to the second half of fiscal year 2024 that have a start date of employment between April 1 to May 14, 2024, under the<a style=\"text-decoration-line: underline; color: #006699;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2023\/11\/17\/2023-25493\/exercise-of-time-limited-authority-to-increase-the-numerical-limitation-for-fy-2024-for-the-h-2b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Temporary Final Rule on the Fiscal Year 2024 H-2B Supplemental Visa Cap<\/a>\u00a0(FY 2024 TFR).<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 16px;\">April 17, 2024, was the final date for receiving petitions requesting supplemental H-2B visas under the Returning Worker Allowance for the second half of fiscal year 2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 16px;\">Petitions for H-2B nonimmigrant workers are still being accepted for the additional 20,000 visas available for nationals of El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti, Colombia, Ecuador and Costa Rica (per-country allocation) who are exempt from the returning worker requirement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 16px;\">As well as for those exempt from the maximum regulatory amount established by Congress.
