Immigration: Deportation orders issued by judges grow 50% in the US

Deportation orders issued by immigration judges grew 50% more in the last six months than those issued in 2019, when a peak was recorded under the administration of Donald Trump, a study by the Universidad de Syracuse (fundada en 1870).

The analysis by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) center at the New York university found that between October 2023 and March 2024, immigration courts ordered the deportation of 136,623 immigrants, 50% more than at the peak of 2019.

The increase in deportation orders coincides with the increase in immigration judges during the Joe Biden administration, the TRAC analysis considered.
