WHAT IT IS ↠ The E-2 VISA allows a national of a country with a trade agreement with the United States to be admitted when investing a substantial amount of capital in a US company.

General requirements of an Investor by Commercial Agreement E-2

➀ The applicant must have the nationality of the country of the commercial agreement: Citizens of Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Argentina, apply.

➁ Have invested, or are actively in the process of investing, a substantial amount of capital in a real company in the United States

➂ Enter the United States solely to develop and direct the investment company

➃ The company must be real and operational

➄ The applicant's investment is substantial

Important The E2 visa is a NON-IMMIGRANT visa, meaning it is an application for permission for a temporary period of time to live and work in the United States.

  • Treaty investors and employees may be accompanied or followed by spouses and unmarried children under 21 years of age.
  • Immigration laws do not specify the minimum amount required to invest to obtain a USA E-2 investor visa. At least an amount close to USD 100,000 is recommended
